super-newbie question about Recovery CD

Hello

I have to "boot into my Recovery CD" so that I can manually mount my file system (/dev/hda5 and /dev/hda7).

I have Mandrake Multi-network-firewall (bash shell only). I purchased the product and it has an install CD.

Is the install CD the same as the recovery CD? If it isn't, how can I get/make a recovery CD so that I can mount my hard drive manually. Or, can I just boot into failsafe mode and mount my hard disk?

Thanks

Yes, the recovery CD is the same as the install CD. When the boot prompt displays on the monitor type in rescue. The displayed text shows all options.
