Sun Solaris login issue..


I have installed sun solaris into my oracle virtual box. Installation completed successfully, however I cannot access. As soon as I entered user id and password it did not recognize.. please assist..

Not much we can assist WITH. You say the system is up and working, right? What you're asking, is for us to tell YOU what your user name and password is...which we can't.

What password did you set for the root user when you built the system? What other user ID's did you set up? How did you build the system in virtualbox (load straight from install media, or did you use a pre-built image?) What version of Solaris? And did you check Oracle's website??

You can boot the system into rescue mode, and remove the password entry for root, then log in as root with no password. Change it from there.
