summer project

here is the thing.. i wanted to teach myself how to build a website and how to program C++ by summer's end.. the books i was planning to use "Sams teach yourself how to program C++ in 24 hours" and "Building Websites for Dummies" I am teacher who is off for the summer and can devote my entire summer to this.. is this possible and if so are these good books or does anyone know of better ones... i am currently using Slackware 10.1 and Fedora Core 5.... does anyone have any other suggestions..

If you want to learn to program in C++ seriously, I'd personally say the "21 Days" book is better (edit: purely because it covers things in more detail).

Yeah, Sams have several series of books: 10 minutes, 24 hours, 21 days (there are possibly others). As for servers/websites, I can't help you there, sorry! What kind of server are you wanting to build?
