suggestions reg window manager..

am a newbie to the world of linux..got FC3 installed on my comp a few days ago. but only when i booted up linux did i find that my computer's config(Pentium 3 1.2 GHz, 128 MB RAM, intel 810card) was no good for running KDE/GNOME..so after a little searching, i decided that i gotta switch to either xfce or fluxbox..decided to try out fluxbox first..followed the instructions as in the documentation but unfortunately, something went wrong somewhere..and am not able to startup fluxbox at all..can someone tell me how to uninstall it? i wish to do a reinstall and see how it goes..

one more thing..can anybody tell me if ubuntu will work fine on my system?(again, i guess i need to add some other less-graphics-hungry windows manager)..

thanks for the help,
cheers,
ganesh

Well, it depends on the method you used for installing. Did you install an RPM file or compiled from source (./configure && make && make install process)? If you are in the first case, you can use the rpm program to uninstall fluxbox. Unfortunatelly I'm not a Fedora Core user, so I don't know how exactly rpm works, but you can try to run "rpm --help" or "man rpm" to find it out. If you are in the second case, you have to go to the program source folder (hopefully you didn't remove it) and run "make uninstall". After that you can try to use an RPM to install fluxbox before trying another window manager ;)

Hope this helps you...
