suggest me Live Cd to recover the data.

My system got crashed yesterday .Before i do any mess up with it i would like to backup some important scripts stored in it.
With so many live cds available i m confused which one is to choose.
It should not be too big (in terms of mb).
any small Live cd will do.

I use SystemRescueCd for tasks like that. I can boot with it, mount drives read only and copy off whatever data I need. Was that what you wanted to do?

I'm partial to Puppy for these tasks. The newer releases boot up on everything I have. Normally, I have a Puppy remaster setup for each machine for backup/rescue. Pretty good little operating system at 120 mb or so.
