Sort of depends what "system" they installed. And if they installed Linux in place of Windows, a Windows executable will not run under Linux unless you use something like WINE to provide a run environment for it. That would be a case of "ask your cousin". Probably best to ask them in the first place because while it's nice that they installed something you're amazed with, they have now put their self on the hook to support you, because you're unfamiliar with the system, at present.
