sudo password thread
 
i am new to ubuntu ....i cant type my sudo password whenever it is asking .
actually i am trying to install jdk packages in linux so it is asking for an sudo password but it wont works ...i am trying this for an 3 days.so help me to figure this out as soon as possible:)

The ole' Ubuntututututu and it not providing the owner of the OS a root account because they think they know whats best for everyone and now that same owner/user has to use the root password without an actual root account scenario to get things done that only root can do scenario.

did I say scenario twice?

If you want to elevate that entire command session to root privileges type
'sudo su', you will still need to enter the password to your account.
Sudo password is the password that you put in the installation of ubuntu/yours
user password, if you don't have a password just click enter at all.
