Suddenly can't wirelessly connect with my Inspiron E1405

I am running a dual-boot with Kubuntu Dapper. At first I had absolutely no problem connecting to the internet wirelessly on either the Windows or Linux side. Now, I can't seem to connect with Linux - I can still see the available networks, but each time I try to connect, it just says "connection failed". I have tried on several networks, both encrypted and unencrypted, and none of them work. I have had no problem connecting on the Windows side. Any suggestions? I'm sorry if this is in any way vague, I'm quite new to Linux - please tell me if I need to provide any more info.

are you getting any ip from dhcp? can you ping the gateway? have you tried enabling and distabling the card interfce from the 'network tools'?

Just as mysteriously fixed

Thanks for your suggestions . . . after further investigation, I did have an IP, and can connect to the internet, even though my LAN manager says that I am not connected. This is really strange, as I had this problem on another network and was unable to connect. But it works now.
