su in GUI?

I want to download something into a new direction I created. But it says something like: no permission.
Do I have the option to switch in GUI between su and normal user like in the console?

console -> su to root.
# konqueror

This will open Konqueror in root mode so you can move your files/folders around.
You need to be careful though - there's a lot of potential to mess things up when operating like this...
