Is it my harddrive? cause i got a 300G and i have windows xp on it. If so is gentoo not good to have duall boot with windows?

or is it my dvd-rom drive?

Do you have sata and/or do you need ATA loaded? It is possible that ata_piix conflict somehow with a sata controller or with another ATA controller. If you don't need it, it is possible to ask the live-cd to do not probe hardware, so to do not try to load any modules (you will need to load the needed ones by hand thus).

I tried loading the following kernel "gentoo noapic" which says it disable apic (try if having hardware problems nics, scsi, etc). Then some error thing sayed tryed irqpoll, so i typed in "gentoo irqpoll" and it looks like its working. I gotta unplug internet from laptop now so it recognizes it! i hope you can help other noobs if they ask this question again later on

THANKs!
