stop a service from starting at boot?
 

Hi there,

I've installed Vida Linux on my laptop, all's good except dhcpcd is starting at boot time and the laptop takes an age and a day to boot 'cos there is no network.
How can i stop dhcpcd from running?

if there is a startup script for this, then make it not executable, ie chmod -x /etc/rc.d/rc.dhcpd
