STOP @ sh-2.05# Mandrakelinux

The installation of Mandrakelinux ends succesfull but when i reboot and choose linux i get the blue screen with ' booting etc'. -> black screen forever.
Reboot again en i choose 'failsafe' : the pc stops @ sh-2.05#.

I tried everything already. I installed it on a Pentium 1 (compaq Deskpro) and it worked fine.

So why won't it work on my Pentium 4 3ghz 1 gb ram.?

What is inside your Pentium 4 3ghz 1 gb ram ,hard drive's ect.

Specs:

Asrock(ASUS clone) p4 motherboard + via chipped onboard nic. -> Sitecom dc 202 router-> internet
2 Dane Electr 512 DDR
1 Faralon (intel-based) 10/100 ethernet nic -> LAN Games
1 Lite-on DVD player
1 Plextor px-712a DVD writer
1 40Gb maxtor hdd ide (C : ) Windows XP sp2
1 80Gb maxtor hdd ide (D : ) Mandrakelinux @ 40 GB partition.

You should not have any problem with your box,something may have happened during the install or the disks got messed up some how.What kind of graphics?

Sorry, i forgot the grafics.

It's an ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256mb

So , at this moment i am running Fedora Core 3 with no problems at all.
