steps to install arm-linux gcc in fedora 10


hai,

i need steps to
install crosss compiler arm-linux-gcc 4.3.2 on fedora 10

Fedora 10 is very old. The latest is 12, with 13 coming out soon.

And if you need 'steps' for it, go to http://www.google.com, enter "linux arm cross compiler", press ENTER, and read one of the many how-tos that come up.

step #1
install fedora 12 or fedora 13 in a few days
step #2
then install the arm tools on fedora 12 or 13

1. Download arm-linux-tools-20061213.tar.gz from URL: http://www.snapgear.org/snapgear/downloads.html
2. Use command "tar xvfz" to uncompress arm-linux-tools-20061213.tar.gz package in current , such as /incoming/
3. Copy /incoming/arm-linux/ folder to /usr/local/
4. Copy /incoming/bin/*.* to /usr/local/bin/
5. Copy /incoming/include/*.* to /usr/local/include/
5. Copy /incoming/include/lib to /usr/local/lib/
6. Copy /incoming/arm-linux/libexec folder to /usr/local/
7. Set enviroment variable as below:
export PATH=/usr/local/arm-linux/bin:$PATH
8. Type belows command in /usr/local/arm-linux/lib/
ln -s ld-2.3.3.so ld-linux.so.2
ln -s libc-2.3.3.so libc.so.6

0k, you finish it.

Sorry, this is very bad advice.

Downloading a FOUR YEAR OLD set of software, to compile/run tools on a CURRENT platform, is not good. There is a version on that very site from 2010, and even more updated packages (with installers), available through the online-repos.
