Steps for using different IDE's

I have installed KDevelop and Eclispe onto my PC which has linux.
Can anyone please help me with steps for compiling and running a simple C,C++,Java program in KDevelop and Eclipse

install the help documentation for kdevelop (if missing)

otherwise configure highlighting etc... it should be fairly straightforward.

specific problem?
