State of Linux Graphics - OpenGL, 3D Projects

Hi...

I'm doing an assingment for uni. The topic is 'The State of Linux Graphics'. I need to introduce and discuss OpenGL and various projects aiming at brining 3D to the Linux desktop.

I've done some searching on the net but I'm having trouble finding any decent articles/papers that simply provide an overview on this topic, rather than in depth technical report.

Any one out there that can point me in the right direction?

cheers,
Hans.
