starting xinetd

Hi there,

Ive installed Vector Linux and decided to install XInetd.
Installed fine, and using a utility for VectorLinux, i stopped Inetd
from loading.

However, how do i get XInetd to automatically start?
It doesnt appear in the list of services to load in VectorLinux?

Can anyone tell me the file that contains the services to load in linux?
ive looked in the /etc directory, and cant find anything of meaning.

Any response gratefully appreciated.

not sure about vector linux, but in redhat and some others, you can run

chkconfig xinetd on

this will always launch xinetd
