starting with a different root directory

i have a question about initial root directory on my Knoppix system. when i open a terminal, i start at this directory
/home/knoppix

however, i would like it to start here:
/KNOPPIX/

where would i make that change?

thanks,
skiz

im supposing you have a harddrive install of knoppix, if you are booting off a cd, none of these changes will work

supposing this

edit your /home/knoppix/.bashrc file and put this command at the end

cd /KNOPPIX

this will change to this directory when you open a terminal

You can also edit /etc/passwd (as root) and replace '/home/knoppix/' with '/KNOPPIX/' for user 'knoppix' (so in the line beginning with 'knoppix').
