starting prgrammes automatically at gnome login
im pretty much a gnome newb having used kde for the last 3 years or so since switching to GNU/linux full time
basically what i would like is for most of the apps that reside in the notification area to start automatically when i log into gnome as they do in kde and xfce without any external input, this is mainly to save me having to manually start things like firestarter, tomboy, amarok etc etc. everytime i login. is there any config file or similiar that i can add thease progs to to get them started when gnome starts? |
There is a utility (GUI) which allows you to specify a list of commands to run at Gnome start-up. I cannot remember what its called: Open the obvious ones and see if you can spot it. If I remember I'll post it.
