Starting a nested X (or something like that :-D)
 

When I try to start a nested X by running "gdmflexiserver --xnest" I get the following message:

Cannot start new display

You do not seem to have authentication needed be for this operation. Perhaps your .Xauthority file in not set up correctly.


Well, I googled it and... I couldn't find anything to help me in my noobish situation.
And since LinuxQuestions is "where Linux users come for help" :D I came for help (since I'm tired of searching...).

Well, though I didn't understand totally what's going with the .Xauthority and X stuff, I managed to do what I wanted. (Now I really feel like a noob hehe... such a simple problem ha? :D):newbie:
