Start the right way

Hello
am preparing a Red Hat based Linux webhosting using cPanel.
and am worried about fine tuning since i haven't done that before and we are expecting a big range of web clients.
I would so much appreciate if someone can tell me where shold i start and what to read?

thank you

Well if anything I would first start with the server and the web service. Tweek out your web server by uninstalling all programs that are not needed and if you are running apache I would probably find the most optimal settings. That is where I would start.
