Start Services/Daemons

i was wonderring how do i Start something up when starting X.

is there a file for that?? or would i haveta take a RunLevel and add 'startx' with the other commands i wanna run, in. and Switch to that run level when i wanna get into X.

im running Slackware 9.0.
by the way, how do i change a RunLevel?? (what if X will crash, how can i switch to another level?)

In KDE you must have on KDE Menu > System Settings > Server Settings > Services run that application its for the programs that must runned at the server start...and you must change your runlevel if you wanna to log into the X when you start teh server..not to go info the console (Text Mode)....i think that it must be from runlevel 3 to runlevel 5 ;]
