start programs while bootup
 

i want to start my program which is in C lang. while the linux system boots. I don't know where to place the file for that. Like ntsysv command utility helps to start mysql database server,apache server starts while the system startups....... ???????????????????:mad: :mad: help me.....

It depends on the distro to some extent, in slackware you'd add the command to "/etc/rc.d/rc.local" There will be a similar file in your distro.
