start + d in linux

In windows i had very helpful hotkey - Start+D... it minimizes all windows so you can see the desktop. i see there is a button in Ubuntu that do that, but can i make this hotkey too? or is there any other hotkey for doing that?

Are you using GNOME? The version of GNOME I've got on this machine uses Ctrl+Alt+D to do what you want (actually, so does KDE).
