start a installed programs

Hi, tell me how to get free entrance to xxx & some credit cards numbers (just a joke)
Can you tell me how to start a installed programs, for example I just installed free pascal compiler and I don't know how to run it.
I mean in rpmdrake there is description and there are a dozens of files like:
........ and so..
So please explain me what is equivalent to m$ .exe files and were to look for them, or link me to appropriete page.

p.s please don't tell me"oh we tallked about these 10000 times look around...@%%^.." cose I have miserable 40k(max,ofen less) connection, and this forum is sooo f.... big.
I feel like granny who called miC%^$oft support: "You cheated me, this is bad copy...there is no Free Cell... it's not on my desktop!" :-))) such a shame... :-)

well, what was the name of the application? Do this to locate the file:
whereis name_of_application
locate name_of_application
find name _of_application
Executables are usually stored in /usr/bin or /sbin/..if all else fails go back to their website and read installation and usage howto's
