star office installation problem

When trying to install Star Office 6 beta, everything hums along great for awhile. Then I hit the 'Registering Components' section and start getting errors like:

The '' component was unable to be registered.

I click 'ignore' and the setup seems to complete ok. (It says that it successfully completed. What did that message mean?

More importantly, how do I start the program, now that it is installed? I don't see any icons and I don't see any obvious program. What kind of extension am I looking for? I installed to /user/local.

first off, you might not want to use the beta version.. its probably buggy.
you should find a executable usually starts like so then something following it.. like 5.2 was like so52... or something like that. not famailar with beta 6.0.
i would recommend getting version 5.2 of staroffice.. and sometimes it puts icons in your start menu or kde menu..
