star office 7 installation on mandrake 9.2

i have downloaded star office 7 from the sun site. it is in documents. when i click on it it just does not do anything. it is an excecutable file:so-7-ga-bin-linux-en-.bin. (also have adaba file)
i just started learning linux.somehow got realplayer and (full)mplayer going , but this one left me clueless. also factor in that i am already tired of things the hard way. you realize how refreshing it would be to get a straight answer rather than spending hours googling
thank you all
