SSL probelm during nagios nrpe installation

hello all,

i trying to monitor servers using the openware tool-Nagios. i installed Nagios in a machine and am able to monitor the local host. now am trying to do remote monitoring. for this i chose to use NRPE. and i installed the same in the client machine.

i installed the Nagios-plugins and NRPe daemon in the client.

but when i check for the following in the client machine,

/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H localhost

1. i have used the same versions of plugins in both systems.
2. Port islistening

viceversa i am not getting the error when i try from the nagios machine

# /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H
NRPE v2.8.1

especially i would like to know
1. how to check ssl compatibility?
2. how to check tcp wrapper?

i tried using ldd command, but in vain. please guide me in the same

any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks a lot in advance
