SSL Certificate Manager in Redhat Linux and vsftpd

Hello:

I am working on Redhat AS4 and using vsftpd for secure ftp from a mainframe. I need to add a new root certificate from Network Solutions in order for the Auth TLS process to take place. Where do I put the certificate so that:

A) VSFTPD sees it
B) The OS see it

Or does only 1 of the above need to happen in order for the handshake to take place?

My /etc/vsftpd dir contains the private/public key (.pem file) and all the certs from NS.

Is there a "certificate manager" for Redhat, similiar to XP's manager?

The mainframe has a keyring that contains the root, intermediate and server certificates, but I don't know how to configure certificates in Linux. Before, when I had a test certificate from Verisign, the transaction went thru fine because I believe linux already had the certificates installed. Does RH4 come with ADDTrustExternal Root CA?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.
