SSL and web page files on different servers

I currently have a server set up for hosting websites, however, one of the sites needs an SSL certificate. In the past, I have put the pages that require an SSL on a seperate server, registered for an SSL using the new servers hostname and IP and used it that way. However, Im going to be setting up a series of sites that will all be owned by our company and will require an SSL certificate, but was wondering if there was a way to set up an SSL server and have each site pass through it so that it gets the encryption without having to have an SSL for each specific domain name. I'm not sure it this is possible, but would like to find out.

Thanks in advance.

Wow this is so not a newbie question. I suggest you try posting this so an SSL and/or certificate-specific group, as this isn't a Linux (or web
server, really) problem.

Here's some reading material: Running Name-Based SSL Virtual Hosts in Apache, VHost SSL Taskforce and Hosting multiple SSL vhosts on a single IP/Port. (Executive overview: learn to live with one of: different IP, different port or certificate warning plus browser support.)
