ssh: unrecognized service on rhel

I am triyng to virtualize my linux machine with vmware converter.
And I have to start SSH server on my machine the I got that error.
Code:
[root@myserver ~]# service ssh status
ssh: unrecognized service
[root@myserver ~]# sudo service ssh start
ssh: unrecognized service
What command should I use resolve it?

My linux version:
Code:
cat /proc/version
Code:
Linux version 2.6.9-78.ELsmp (brewbuilder@hs20-bc2-3.build.redhat.com) (gcc version 3.4.6 20060404 (Red Hat 3.4.6-10)) #1 SMP Wed Jul 9 15:39:47 EDT 2008

You don't say what version of RHEL you're using, but you really should read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature, and do basic research first, before posting. This is extensively covered in the Red Hat knowledgebase...you need to run "service sshd start" to start the SSH daemon.

And since you're using RHEL, have you contacted Red Hat support, since you're PAYING for RHEL? (RIGHT???)
