Question SSH login on Centos7

Hello,

I'm using centos7 and I installed my server successfully. I added a super user to the wheel group which I'm planning to use it for ssh and sftp. But when I tried to log in ssh via putty using this command :

myusername@ServerIP and I put my password.

it gives me access denied.. so what's solution for that ?

Thanks

have you tried the root user account, are you able to login?

Is your SSH service running? Is the firewall ready to accept the SSH connection?

Are you connecting on the LAN or over the Internet?

Try:
Quote:
ss -nlput | grep sshd
post back the result.

go to /etc/ssh/sshd_config remove # sign from port number. i suppose you dont have firewall.

change port to some other number

ssh -p 3333 user@192.168.0.11

enable ssh

systemctl start sshd

Check your logs for any issues;

Code:
