SSH doesn't start

I can't open a connection unless a regular user that was created during the OS installation logs in at the screen. Then SSH connection would work.

I did change the ssh port right after the OS install so I don't know if this applies to port 22.

I did a chkconfig --list and get this result: level 2,3,4,5= on

Nevermind: idiot mistake by me. The network was created under that user. I went in and created one under root.
