ssh cpanel ubuntu
 
hi

i use ubuntu and i wanted to know how i can to use
ssh to contact my server[ shared hosting5$ cpanel]
i really don't know how to do that all the guides in ssh[cpanel] on
putty


if i can get some tutorial it will be helpful

i try look but don't fond nothing

it Does not work

i try alot of commands

ssh xxxx -p 22 -l xxx

ssh xxx@xxx

all of them wont work

maybe i need generate{in cpanel] private key and give it to my ubuntu machine

no is just like think dont do nothing
until i click ctrl+C


i use web shared hosting is maybe related?

Have you enabled SSH on your CPanel server? I am sorry, it has been a long time since I used CPanel. Maybe this will help? https://www.cpanel.net/media/tutorials/ssh.htm

or i should generate keys on my ubuntu machine and then import this to the cpanel ssh?

Very probably. Are you sure they allow SSH access? Many companies don't allow SSH access for shared hosting.


If you're sure they allow it then ask them to help as they'll know exactly what they do and do not support.
