Ssh behind a firewall
 

I have a server in my home at the IP 194.xx.x.x the server is globally accessible. But when i am in my office i am behind a firewall. The address of my firewall is 193.x.x.x and i have a user name and password. My private IP is 10.1.3.29. I wanted to know how can i connect to the server at home. Is there any way i can specify the proxy settings in the ssh command.

It all depends on which ports the firewall permits...
If that thing is an application firewall as well, and
acts as a http/https proxy and 80 (and mates) are
all it allows you may be out of luck.

Ok suppose i am just behind a proxy............no firewall..............then how would i add the proxy parameters in the ssh command.

The proxy will know that what you're trying to
access is not a URL, so you won't get anywhere.
