ssh??

hi i just figured out how to use ssh.. its my first time
i was just connecting from a windows xp box to my redhat 7.3 machine
and i want to know..
is it possible to run x on a remote connection or no?
and also if i have mp3s how can i get them to play
and how would i go about downloading the mp3s or any other file for that matter to the remote machine off the ssh shell??
is it even possible?
the reason i am asking is because i set up a shell for my buddy dave who has not a clue about anything to do with linux.. and i want him to have access to my list of mp3s
so if anyone could help me out i would really appreciate it!
thank you!!

hmmm...well if you were going Linux to Linux ssh connection then their would be no problem because you can easily run X applications through ssh. I'm not sure if their is a Windows based program that will allow you to run X-based applications though.

If you want to download files of the Linux server from a Windows client you could useWinSCP. I use it myself and highly recommend it.

As for playing the files directly off the server I don't think it can be done without some sort of X application. I could be wrong though.
