Install of Mint LMDE on a OCZ Vertex2 drive freezes after copying a few files(20 secs)..Tried a number of times no success.
Is Linux Mint not able to work on a ssd. Tried two different downloaded iso,s,burnt slowly. Still no success in installing LMDE on my ssd..Disk is ok because i installed LMDE on an external HD..On the ssd i have windows7 64 let a partion for Mint but the installer keeps freezing after copying a few files, same thing happens with Mint9 on this drive. Am i mising something that is needed for ssd succes. |
Linux works fine with SSDs, so that's probably not the problem.
Maybe try booting from a USB stick instead, or a different distro. Usually downloads are 100% correct, but did you check the md5sum of your downloaded iso? |
On boot you can check the disk I believe if you press the space bar at the countdown.
A number of posts refer to mint working but it may be the motherboard or bios settings. Might be format or partition issues too. |
