Question src.rpm question

Hello!
Hope all is well just b4 the holiday!

I cannot find a trustful place to download the latest apache/httpd in RPM.

found one but it's got a src.rpm. I just want to install it.

Can a src.rpm be installed using rpm -ivh? Or is there an additional thing to do?

Thanks

This is odd. Apache is such a standard app. Where did you search?

Yes, you can install. But to run the prog, you will need to compile it. And to compile, you have to solve dependecies, as every software.

The exact latest version of apache, I cannot find that one on RPM.

I have settle for a source installation since they run just fine. The RPMs ask for many dependenc ies usually.

Thanks !
