squid proxy

hi
i have followed these configuration steps and successfully installed squid
on my network with the same configuration mentioned on this website http://www.torridnetworks.com/index....ntication.html

can someone help me understand this

acl test_group external ldap_group test
acl hr external ldap_group HR
acl vip external ldap_group VIP

i need to provide test with limited access , VIP full access and HR access to certain sites

I am running squid on centos 5.4
please help
