Squid Password authentication problem using ncsa
 
Hello

I have configured squid.conf to ncsa auth but it not responding it autmatically i have to set proxy server manually , squid works well but authentication not working automatically waiting for u r valuable reply

Is there an error or do all users get access as though authentication is not set up? Could you have a look in the Squid logs please and see if there are error messages relating to authentication?

actually it not passes authentication using intercept or transparent proxy i have to give manual config through lan seetings for proxy then the authentication windows was opened but i want to work it with transparent proxy is thr in anyway to do this?

Yes, there is. Configuring it depends on which version you are running, but the Squid FAQ for doing that is here
