Question squid 3.0


dear all
anyone can help me in squid 3.0
i was working on squid 2.6 and everything is ok except mp3 file not caching so i try squid 3.0 and there is a lot of problems
i used the same configuration file squid.conf ... i search the internet for this issue and i find that there is different between the two version.
thank you in recent for your reply.

You'll need to explain the problems if you want members to be able to help you.

I'm assuming you're looking to upgrade from 2.6 since it's not maintained anymore, right? In that case, have you given the 2.7 branch a try? You might get better results, since the code wasn't overhauled as it was with the 3.0 branch AFAICT.

I suspect that your original issue could have been cured by attention to the various directives in your squid.conf (either from the file type directly or maybe file sizes). Try this for some vaguely related info:

Squid 3 is a serious re-write from squid 2.x and so this is unlikely to work as there will be enough differences to cause serious problems, unless you can find that, eg, someone on the net has wriotten a script to convert one into the other. And, given that the problem probably came from squid.conf, it is likely to re-introduce the original problem, when you finally get it 'working'.
