To all Linux Gurus,

Pls. help me guys to setup a squid in my Redhat 6.2 server to monitor all the logs and where my users go (internet). I heard that Squid can monitor all the ins & outs of internet users all their access logs. My server is running on Redhat 6.2 with Dedicated Dial-up connection 56k. I have Sendmail installed and I use Ipchains for internet sharing.

What is it you really want help with? I have successfully been running Squid on RedHat 7.2 with no troubles. The logs are a little bit haze but they show you the source ip, the domain, the pages within the domain cached / downloaded and the type of caching (direct, already in cache or from a parent cache etc, if configured). They don't show dates and times unless you change the logging option and use a separate program to strip the log and obtain further information.

Compiling it and installing it is easy and shouldn't take more than 20mins to do....
