Question Squash.img extraction issues

I have been trying for a few days now to figure out how to get this image extracted so that i can look at the contents of this squashed img for an embedded system.

when i try to mount the img using "mount -o loop squashfs.img /mnt/stuff" i get "mount: you must specify the filesystem type"

If i try to unsquash it first (seen on some forums) using : "unsquashfs squashfs.img" i get "Can't find a SQUASHFS superblock on squashfs.img"

I would have liked to put all of the stuff I have tried, but i dont remember it all.

Its really starting to drive me crazy. The img file it is part of a livecd and syslinux pendrive setup used to reload data onto an embedded machine

Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated while i still have hair.

Ok, Nevermind. I found the issue that I had was due to the squashfs.img file was corrupted. Upon redownloading it I have no problems at all!
