Splashy conflict with hibernate?

Right now I'm running Debian Lenny. I use splashy for bootsplash images, and I recently installed the package hibernate to put my computer into sleep mode. However, when I resume, the loading freezes. If I Hit F2 or escape to exit splashy when the image for booting my computer loads, it will go to CLI for a moment, then show the splashy image for resume and load properly. However, if I don't exit the first splashy, the resume freezes.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't have tuxonice installed, if that makes a difference.

Thanks all!
