If you want integration in FireFox - try DownThemAll! extension. I guess it will be enough (unless you close you FireFox often - or crash it, if it is not official release build (Mozilla or distribution), this can happen in some conditions).
You can also look at d4x program.

You put it somewhere and in Firefox address bar you type something like file:///home/user/downthemall_-0.9.9.7-fx+fl+tb.xpi
It will ask if you want to install.

It is called killer-feature when you can do something better in Firefox than in Opera. Did you find d4x, by the way? I guess it doesn't have direct integration, but drag-and-dropping link could work (I don't remember now - as Firefox user..).

If you want to install Netscape, installer is run by ./netscape-installer in directory where you unpacked it. But I don't think you'll find it better than Opera if you find Opera better than Firefox.

Maybe User Agent Switcher extension for Firefox is what you need, because Firefox - having the same engine that moder Netscape has, and this engine evolved from older netscape engine that went open-source - should render it well. Also in Opera there is standard feature named something like 'Identify as..', and Opera does well in compatibility.
