I am running a sound blaster live sound card and I can't hear anything out of my rear speakers. Please help.

well, what have you done so far to configure your sound to work in linux.. ?? have you tried sndconfig to try to configure sound ??

No I have not. I will try that and let you know if it works which I hope it does. If it doesn't you will hear from me again

I ran sndconfig but there was no sound coming out of my rear speakers.

I went and fooled around with the audio settings in the audio mixer and found out that in line 3 I had it all the way turned up. When I put it in the middle I got sound out of both speakers. I am glad I figured out what the whole problem was.
