Spacky Kernel - Panic Mode

Greetings chaps,

I've been set with the task of creating a gentoo o/s from scratch all manually, been doing great until it came to that magical reboot time, upon which point I get "Error 15: etc etc"

So, go through those steps to boot up the kernel, except I get the error: Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

Suggestions?

If it wasnt for my headphones, I swear I could hear lemmings saying 'uh oh' with their squashed testicle voice....

You will need to boot into rescue mode.

On gentoo that's almost always an indication of a typo ...
If you check what AceofSpades19 mentioned (plus "ls /boot"), the answer might just "pop out" at you.
