Space Claim Issues


All,

ORACLE LINUX UNBREAKABLE.

I have delete a large file from GUI but space still claims to be filled.
however i use ls -lh but free space not create

what is your linux system file format?
maybe the inode is filled.
df -ih

qlue : how can i empty trash from commands line or is it necessary to empty trash after deleting all files from GUI


624867243@qq.com : my file system was ext3 no inode was not filled.

and How did you delete it ?

not everything can be deleted by a normal user

and is this the Oracle clone of RHEL5 or RHEL6 or RHEL7 ?????

what version is it ?

Thanks for reply me back

i just right click on file from gui and delete it although file is not showing but space not clean up , i do this activity from root user.


not a clone of any RHEL its RHEL 6.5

You usually empty the trash from the GUI, not the command line.
