Question Source code for IEEE 802.11 MAC


Hai,
I am new to linux,
I want to know where can I find 802.11 MAc source code in linux
and
can I replace this code by an alternative protocol that is
Whether can we make the packets go through the alternative protocol

I dont understand what do mean exactly. If you want to know about your wireless card driver you should find related lib and then go changing.
Of course you can change anything you want in linux. You should change some internal level of os I think to use another protocol for layar 2.
