Soundblaster Audigy and Redhat

Running RedHat 9 and had my Creative Soundblaster Audigy running perfectly including playing DVD's, MP3's etc. For reasons not relevent here, I had to reinstall (not upgrade). When I did a full install again, the sound card module was "disabled" . The card was recognized and loaded but would not work at all. I checked and the Soundcore module is loaded but, as I said, it was "disabled" during the bootup process. When shutting down the log indicates a failure of the "aumix" due to missing "sound-slot-0" module. I re-installed using a slightly earlier version than 20-8 and got same problem. Pulling my hair out!! Has anyone had similar problems and found a solution??

i haven't gotten sound working in redhat 9 i must admit (then again i use onboard sound...)

anyway, i guess u could find some drivers to install?

if not, as much as u will probably hate hearing this, but do a complete system wipe and reinstall redhat using the settings u originally had

Thankyou One and Only.
But as I said I did a complete re-install from the CD roms with absolutely NO change in parameters. The only change to my system was a new hard drive. (That's why I had to re-install Linux!!)
