sound volume controls in KDE
 

I'm a somewhat new comer to Linux. I have managed to install it properly using a KNOPPIX CD. The sound, dial up and a few general appls such as Mozilla and XINE work fine. I can't seem to find the volume control for my sound on the KDE tool bar. Can somebody direct me to where it is being hidden and how to get it on to tool bar please? I know it's silly but...

what i did was switched to gnome and linked it on my desktop. Then switched back to KDE. lol

Kinda ghetto and i guess useless if you don't have gnome but it works for me.

well if you know how to add applications to the panel (you said toolbar, i'm assuming you meant taskbar which is part of the panel), the program you want to add is kmix.
